Who I Am
My oldest poem is still my most personal.
Love Made Me, now Track 2 on my debut album, was written when I was 17, a Mother’s Day gift I recited from the pulpit while my mother sat in the pews.
Decades later, after her first birthday without her, I returned to that poem and gave it a voice.
What followed was more than catharsis.
It didn’t just heal something.
It ignited something.
If words written at 17 could carry that kind of weight across a lifetime, what could 30 years of writing become?
That question set everything in motion.
This isn’t a beginning.
It’s a continuation of memory, of purpose, of calling.
The words never left.
They just learned how to sing.
I’m Amos “MoS DeF” Raymond, a composer, songwriter, and storyteller creating original music for film, television, and visual storytelling.
My work lives at the intersection of narrative, emotion, and atmosphere, where story leads the sound and every note serves the moment.
Rooted in soul and gospel, and shaped through a cinematic lens, my music is built to move emotion first.
All compositions are original, fully controlled, and ready for immediate licensing, designed for seamless placement.
Every piece begins the same way my journey did—with something to say and a reason it must be heard.
